Privacy Policy

Say 啦 (SayLa, the “Service”) is operated by Great X Inc. (“we”). This policy explains what we collect, why, how it is used, and your rights.

What we collect

• Anonymous account identifier: a random anonymous account is created when you first open the app. No name, email, or phone number is required.
• Learning records: completed lessons, practice answers, conversation text, recurring mistakes and their improvement, streaks, and gamification state (hearts, coins, quests, badges, league scores).
• Voice content: when you use voice input, your recording is sent to our server and processed by an AI service for transcription and feedback. Audio recordings are not stored permanently — they are discarded after processing; only the transcribed text is kept in your learning records.
• Device and usage information: basic technical records needed to operate the Service (such as API usage counts). We use no third-party advertising or behavioral tracking SDKs.

How data is used

• To provide core features: speaking practice, AI feedback, progress tracking, and personalized lesson selection.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse (e.g., usage limits).
• To improve the product. We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services

• Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage.
• Google (Gemini API): speech recognition and AI language feedback. Your voice and practice text are sent to Google for real-time processing.
• Apple: app distribution and in-app purchases (subscriptions are handled by Apple; we never receive your payment details).

Retention and deletion

Learning records are kept until you delete your account. To delete your account and all associated data, email support@say-la.com; deletion is completed within 30 days.

Children

The Service is an adult learning product and is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that we have collected a child’s personal data without consent, we will delete it immediately.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. Because accounts are anonymous, please contact us through the app or by email with enough information to identify your account.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date.
